Live View

The Canon EOS 1D Mark III provides a live view via its USB connection. The live view size is 1024 x 680.

Setup Instructions

1. Power your camera by AC power if possible.
   • If you must use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
   • If you use AC power, remove the battery.
2. Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
   • For Mac OS X, Open the Image Capture application, go to its Preferences and select No applicaton to open when a camera is connected.
3. Set the Mode Dial to Manual (M).
4. Set Auto Power Off to Off.
5. Set Lens to Manual Focus and disable Image Stabilization.
6. Set Drive Mode to Single Shooting (not Single Silent).
