Live View

The Canon EOS 40D provides a live view via its USB connection. The live view size is 1024 x 680.

Dragon Stop Motion controls the Canon EOS 40D ISO, shutter speed, aperture (with digital lens), image quality and size.

Setup Instructions

1. Power your camera by AC power if possible.
   • If you must use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
   • If you use AC power, remove the battery.
2. Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
   • For Mac OS X, Open the Image Capture application, go to its Preferences and select No applicaton to open when a camera is connected.
3. Set the Mode Dial to Manual (M). (Figure A)
4. Set Auto Power Off to Off. (Figure B)
5. Set Lens to Manual Focus. (Figure C)
6. Go to Custom Functions IV and set the Live View Exposure Simulation to 1 - Enable. (Figure D)
7. Be mindful of your Picture Style. (Figure E)
