Live View

The Nikon D3X provides a live view via its USB connection. The live view size is 640 x 426.

Setup Instructions

1. Power your camera by AC power if possible.
   • If you must use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
   • If you use AC power, remove the battery.
2. Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
   • For Mac OS X, Open the Image Capture application, go to its Preferences and select No applicaton to open when a camera is connected.
3. Set USB Mode to MTP/PTP (not Mass Storage).
4. Set the Mode Dial to Manual (M).
5. Set Lens to Manual Focus and disable Image Stabilization.
