Live View
The
Nikon D40X does not provide live-view. You have two options for using this camera with Dragon:
- Use a separate video camera or USB camera to provide live video.
- Work without live video, capturing 'preview' frames instead. (See User Guide in Help Menu).
Camera Settings
Dragon Stop Motion controls the Nikon D40X ISO, shutter speed, aperture (with digital lens), image quality and size.

Setup Instructions
- Power your camera by AC power if possible.
- If you must use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
- If you use AC power, remove the battery.
- Close any other applications that might connect to your camera.
- For Mac OS X, Open the Image Capture application, go to its Preferences and select No applicaton to open when a camera is connected.
- Set the Mode Dial to Manual (M).
- Set Lens to Manual Focus and disable Image Stabilization.
- Set USB Mode to PTP.
